This is to share/report what we experienced with Ms. Gail Rius a.k.a gailrr and skin_haven*--
I first saw her post in for sale Gadgets and Media thread, offering iphones and blackberry. It was really enticing kace super mura. With convincing statements pa that it will come from her cousin abroad (her favorite cousin pa nga daw)
The condition is 60% downpayment, pick-up of item via meet-up in SM Megamall on Nov. 7 with time TBA. And so, I told my husband about it and we got interested. I communicated with her via mobile phone which she also published in the post. We were so convinced kace accommodating sya sa mga inquiries 9syempre nga naman kace mapagkakaperahan) I browsed her other posts and read she's also enrolled at CACS, taking up culinary courses. I also saw her youtube videos and from there I tried to established her identity not knowing it will be a case of scamming. nonethless, I deposited P19,200.00 under the account of Arvin Carciller, who she claims to be her bf. i still have the deposit slip with some account details of the transaction.
After a two weeks, we tried to communicate with her, since she said the she expects the package to be with her by Oct. 28 via Skyfreight. she was still responding that time saying it will be either Oct.28 or 29. (i still have her text messages in my phone) That was October 27.
However, come Oct.28 her phone is suddenly out of reach. I tried not to panic but told my husband that she's still not replying. and so after several days of trying to reach her, no Gail bothered to update us, via phone or pm here at Gtalk.
I tried to report it in the FN Administrator. Also, I and my husband went to CACS to check if she was there but she was not there. I also pm'ed babyjapnurse (for some reason, maybe instinct, that she could help)
Then next time I checked GT sis_kurei already posted a topic Scammer skin_haven*
and teh rest was history.
For now, mejo hirap lang kami kumilos because I am due very soon. But my husband is willing to coordinate with other victims and those who can help us to eventually solve this and settle the whole amount that Gail promised to return.
So far, P3K pa lang nababalik nya sa min. She'sa supposed to deposit another P5K last Friday pero ang dami nyang excuses. She said she'll have it deposited this Monday. pag wala pa rin, my husband will really go to pick it up an lang kahit naasang sulok pa sya ng mundo. I will keep you all updated.
