There is a tendency to overpack clothes when you aim to ace stylish outfits out of town. You bring emergency or back-up items in case your original outfit doesn't work. This habit can cause bursting pieces of baggage and stressful packing time. To keep everything under control without sacrificing your style, try these suggestions.
1. Use a bag with lots of compartments.
Sections in your bag help you organize your stuff and keeps you from overpacking. If you really want to maximize the space, try Marie Kondo's genius folding technique. Also, a bag with a slashguard and RFID-blocking (criminals can scan your credit card details even if they're far away!) feature will keep your belongings extra secure.

2. Refer to the activities you'll do per day.
This way you can plan your outfits well. Have an outfit set for walking around, a dressy dinner, and maybe some for water activities! If you're headed to any religious place, make sure to wear something modest and appropriate.
3. Don't forget the classics.
Instead of bringing every known trendy item for A-plus outfits, try this easy formula: create your look starting with a basic item and add a wow factor with the help of one flashy piece.
4. Create a theme.
When the clothes you have packed has a theme, it will be easy to mix and match them. When I flew to Cebu, I just stuck to white tops and denim in various styles, and doing so made outfit decisions a breeze.
5. Make sure all your tops go well with all your bottoms.
Besides the color, keeping in mind the style of your clothes is key. Tight tops go well with slightly looser bottoms, like culottes, a-line skirts, and baggy slacks. Voluminous tops, on the other hand, go well with skinny jeans and other hip-hugging bottoms. Also, if you're into crop tops, high waist anything can give a bit coverage (especially when the food baby comes out!).
6. Record your looks on your phone.
When you really want to ace your OOTDs while on vacay, you can try on your looks, take a picture of them, and use them as reference. This will make dressing up faster.
7. Wear the bulky items on the plane.
Thick jackets, boots, and hats may take up so much room in your luggage. By wearing them in-flight, you're saving yourself from baggage weight and space.
