As a true FN woman, 70 percent of my wardrobe is composed of neutral basics I can easily mix and match with the remaining 30. Over time, however, I've noticed that the gamit na gamit items are always the black blazers and LBDs, while the white pieces remain crisp and pristine inside my closet.
While I've always wanted to cop the signature Heart Evangelista classy-in-all-white look for my day-to-night appointments, I've always been restricted from doing so because white tends to be more see through. And when you're walking to an afternoon business meeting in BGC or an interview in Makati CBD, the last thing you want is for your clients and partners to know the exact outline (and color) of your panties.
So, in order to look classy and seamless in your fresh, all-white ensemble, I did a little research to make sure those dainty investment pieces don't go to waste:
Select the right fabric
When shopping for white clothes, opt for good, quality fabric such as linen or twill, and avoid clingy materials that'll uncomfortably stick to your body. This will also make the way the cloth falls on your curves more structured, so you can look more polished overall.
Don't wear white underneath.
Instinctively, it may seem like a good idea, but wearing white on white will only create a 'highighter effect' that'll make your undergarments more prominent.
Instead, go for nude, neutral underwear.
Choose panties and bras closer to your skintone in order to create a camouflage effect.

Do: opt for seamless cuts
Go for smooth material to prevent unwanted creases on your shirt. Avoid loud prints and lacey fabric.

Layer, layer, layer
A white summer dress will undoubtedly have you looking fresco off the bat, it's the perfect piece for a beach party or Sunday lunch. But if you want to look a bit more office-friendly, pair it with a thick white blazer, or add a pop of color with an accent piece.
Keep your clothes ironed, smelling fresh and crisp.
Don't forget to take care of your clothes--it's all in the details, after all. A well-maintained basic piece will always trump designer clothes worn sloppily. Sayang ang OOTD if you don't make the effort to look presentable. Make sure to read instrcutions on the label and wash them accordingly. Store outfits properly to preserve quality.
