How’s 2019 treating you so far? Whether things are going your way or not, it surely wouldn’t hurt to boost your luck this coming Lunar New Year, happening on February 5. Each year, certain colors (yes, aside from red) are believed to grant good fortune based on Chinese astrology.
In feng shui, there are five elements, such as metal, earth, fire, wood and water, and the Year of the Pig is an Earth element year, according to Know Feng Shui. This means that the Earth element is powerful in 2019, but it also means that the Fire and Metal elements are weak. So to help balance the energy flows of the Earth pig, it is important “to fill this lack by the colors of your clothes and your interior design” states the Karma Weather. “Color choices should represent the elements of Fire and Metal as they are complementary to Earth,” notes Her World.

Fire element
Attract positive energy with vivid colors such as red, pink, and orange, all of which symbolize the element of Fire.
