Have you ever wanted to clean up your closet, but not quite sure where to start? A lot of us are guilty of having too many clothes, yet we feel like we have nothing to wear all the time, which brings us to our current situation where we have a ton of clothes we barely even use. But before heading out to shop for new pieces this upcoming suweldo, it's time to do a little wardrobe spring cleaning and carefully weed out the pieces that shouldn't be there anymore! Here are four pieces in your wardrobe that you need to throw out immediately to declutter your closet.

1. Tarnished jewelry

We know you've hoarded a few earrings or even necklaces here and there. While they've had their fair share of uses, it's time to throw them away and make room for better accessories (hopefully, ones that will last you a longer time).

2. Clothes that you've only worn once, or worse, you've never even worn outside your room

Let's face it, you kind of like that white top sitting in your closet, but you can't seem to get yourself to wear it or it just doesn't go well with anything else in your wardrobe. Instead of letting it gather dust, organize a style swap session with your BFFs, donate it to your local community instead, or sell it online. That way, you can be sure that it will go to someone who needs it and will be able to wear it.

3. Old clothes you wear to sleep

These are old company and event shirts that you really won't wear anywhere else but at home. If they're already threadbare and full of holes, maybe it's time to toss them out and get new ones.

4. Damaged/stained clothes

You might think that someone won't notice your damaged or stained shirt, but it's better to be safe than sorry. It's time to let them go no matter how much you love that piece, girl!
