People reports that a class action lawsuit was filed by Rachel Cronin against EOS Lip Balm because she experienced adverse side effects after using it. She complained of cracking, blistering, and bleeding—the total opposite of what one would expect from a moisturizing lip balm.

According to the lawsuit, consumers, who also had redness, rashes, and blisters after using the lip balm, have contacted EOS via Facebook and email regarding their product's negative effects, yet they have yet to take action.
