Having long, thick hair is a blessing, but as the temperature rises, you've probably been wanting to get a fresh chop.
While salons in the metro remain closed amid the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), here are a couple of short hairstyle ideas you can save for your next salon visit:
1. Layered shoulder cut
A layered cut is a fail-safe hairstyle for thick-haired ladies—it removes weight from long, thick tresses and adds a much-needed boost and dimension!
"[If you have] thick, straight hair, opt for a soft layered cut or a V-shaped hairstyle," advises hairstylist Ronielex Sembrana of Bench Fix salon. With this hairstyle, the hair expert also recommends using hair serums or hair oils to keep the layered cut looking healthy and shiny.
2. Textured lob
Got a wavy hair? Highlight your hair's natural texture with a shoulder-skimming lob—a.k.a. a long bob!
3. Bob cut
Take advantage of the fullness of your hair with a bob cut. If you're worried that your wavy hair might appear bulky, you can ask your hairstylist to add more layers to thin out your strands.
4. Pixie cut
How about a pixie cut to help you feel free and fresh? One of the perks of having thick hair is that you don't have to worry about your hair appearing flat. Keep in mind, though, that a pixie cut would still require a lot of maintenance.
5. Wispy bangs
