Our kitchen can be a wonderland for beautifying ingredients. We can concoct masks, toners, and conditioners with the most common pantry staples. Plus, they cost way cheaper compared to the ones sold in stores. Our GIRLTalkers share their go-to beauty recipes below:

For healthy, shiny hair:

I also love using baking soda as a clarifying shampoo, then apple cider as conditioner. - from GIRLTalker kaorie

I mix olive oil, egg yolk, and water, and use it as a hair mask. It really works for my dry hair caused by constant dyeing. It gets really messy, but it works! It made my hair shiny. - from GIRLTalker Kristineg84

Massage onto scalp pure coconut milk, the one you extract from niyog. Put on your plastic shower cap, and then leave on for 30 minutes. It works as an instant hot oil treatment. Shampoo and rinse, and your hair will feel so soft. - from GIRLTalker

For kissable lips:

I add equal parts of honey and lemon, and use it as lip whitener and moisturizer. I always apply it at night before sleeping and get wonderful lips the next morning! - from GIRLTalker icecream_candy

For flawless and glowing skin:

I use a honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg facial mask. Ang soft ng face ko after, and nakaka-tighten ng skin. - from GIRLTalker

I apply aloe vera juice/extract on new scars. Lagay niyo agad on a newly-healing wound, so it won't leave any scars. - from GIRLTalker Heavenly_Bliss

Mix castor oil and extra virgin olive oil to remove heavy makeup. Wipe face with cotton, and then rinse with warm water. - from GIRLTalker VainLilly

Mash ripe papaya and oatmeal to create a mask. This helps tighten your skin. - from GIRLTalker cescilay

Yung laman nung nagamit na tea bag pwedeng facial scrub - from GIRLTalker Escapaira

For the face, squeeze one to two pieces calamansi and mix the juice with 1/2 to one teaspoon evap milk. Once you see that the milk has curdled, you can go ahead and put it on your face. Wait for about 20 to 30minutes before washing it off.

You can also use it on your whole body by squeezing 20 pieces of calamansi and mixing it with 1/4 can of evaporated milk (use the big can divided into four parts). Apply it on your entire body until it dries. You may let it stay on your skin for about an hour or two. If you have other chores to do, you can just leave it on your skin until you're ready to take a bath

This beauty recipe lightens dark spots, acne spots; it basically prevents acne. After using it for about a week or two, you'll see that even your singit and elbows have lightened. - from GIRLTalker singlemom4

Ed's Note: Always test these homemade treatments on your hand or on a small patch of skin to make sure you're not allergic to any of the ingredients.
