Doing your makeup for work can be nakakatamad at times (especially when it's humid), but the key is achieving that perfect balance between your usual routine and what feels comfortable. Thankfully, you don't have to figure it out on your own, because Solenn Heussaff shared her entire makeup routine for the summer months; but no matter what time of the year, it's perfect for those who don't want to deal with a lot of steps.
On her YouTube channel, the trained makeup artist reveals her foundation-free base combo, an easy eye makeup look, plus other ways to achieve a glowing complexion.
Watch the video below:
1. Ditch the foundation
Instead of using foundation, Solenn resorted to tinted moisturizers (a.k.a. moisturisers that come with a light tint). “It just makes my [complexion] even but doesn’t cover up my freckles,” explains Solenn. She uses two shades; a darker color for her entire face and a lighter shade to brighten and highlight her T-zone.

2. Use cream and liquid products
To achieve the “dewy” effect, Solenn foregoes using powders (and even setting her makeup with a face powder) to let her skin’s natural glow peek through. “The dewiness is what makes [the look] fresh,” explains Solenn. Hence, she swaps her powder blushes with cream blushers and bronzers with liquid formulas. But if you have oily skin, Solenn advises to set the areas where you put concealer on like your under eyes with powder.

3. Use your bronzer as an eye shadow
When applying your bronzer, don't stop at your cheeks—apply it on your lids, too. This gives the face an all-over glow, mimicking how your skin looks after a beach trip!
