If you have been diligently doing your skincare routine in the hopes of achieving a complexion similar to your favorite K-drama stars, but are still experiencing dehydration and oiliness, it may be because you're missing a few steps.

In an interview with Byrdie, Glow Recipe co-founder Christine Chang divulged the skincare steps she always applies for a Chok Chok—dewy, bouncy, and fresh—complexion. Read on.

According to Christine, she never skips this step, believing that by keeping skin hydrated, it will easily absorb the next layers of products. In the morning, she does the seven-skin method, but just three times; at night, she does the whole thing.

Serum or Face Oil

For the day, she goes in with an antioxidant serum—this, combined with sunscreen, protects her skin from harsh environmental aggressors. But in the evenings, she uses a nourishing formula or face oil. She explained, "while there's no need to do 15 steps, layering skincare does help to keep the skin moisturized and plumped for longer."

Since she wears makeup during the day, Christine opts for a priming moisturizer to hydrate her skin and create the "perfect canvas" that will help makeup last longer. On the other hand, at night she goes for an "emollient, whipped moisturizer" or a sleeping mask because she loves "overnight products that can do the 'heavy lifting'" while she sleeps.

No Korean skincare routine would be complete without sun protection since it's the best way to avoid age spots and skin cancer! This is why Christine applies two layers of sunscreen whenever she's not wearing makeup. Yup, you read that right. "It's hard to apply enough sunscreen to be sufficiently protected, so doubling up ensures that I'm applying enough."

So ladies, whenever you're tamad to wear a tinted moisturizer/foundation with SPF, this is what you should do!
