The preparations for the 2019 ABS-CBN Ball are in full swing, and celebs are dropping by the Belo Beauty Suite prior to the festivities for a bit of pampering. Dr. Vicki Belo and husband Hayden Kho are on board, of course, sharing Belo treatments on IG stories.
One of the newest offerings from Dr. Vicki is the Salt Facial. She explains: "This is the first ever [Salt Facial] machine in Asia. We really brought it in, we flew it in, it arrived this morning ready for the Beauty Suite. So it's the first time you're seeing it here."
As the name connotes, it uses salt to gently exfoliate the skin. "What's great about the salt facial is it's anti-bacterial, it's hydrating so you will get that glow, and it's also very calming. So you can do it if somebody has plenty of pimples. You can do it first and it will already dry up the pimples."
According to Belo Beauty's IG post, it is also "effective in treating rosacea, fine lines, pigmentation and more."
Sue Ramirez, on whom the treatment was being done while Dr. Vicki was explaining the procedure, notes, "It's very relaxing."
Aside from the Salt Facial, the celebrity dermatologist also shared how different kinds of LED lights can be used to address different beauty concerns.
"Red light is for anti aging. And it closes the pores and stuff... If you're wondering why we always have lights—these are not lasers," she explains.
"Green is for pigmentation. Blue is for pimples. Red is for anti-aging... and Infrared is for calming. You have to do it regularly at least twice a week for eight session then have a once-every-two week booster.
"For the [Ball] itself, that's why [celebrities] are doing it is because they want to have smaller pores, a bit of a tighter skin."
Aside from Sue Ramirez, other Belo Babies who have dropped by the Beauty Suite include Liza Soberano, Maymay Entrata, and Piolo Pascual, among others.
