Pia Wurtzbach's best travel tip? Do your makeup like a local. And when in Japan, it's all about that youthful glow, all-over rosiness, and full brows to match.
According to Pia's makeup artist Anthea Bueno, the look was inspired by the current beauty trends in Japan. Starting with the brows, she only filled in the outer edges to make Pia's naturally high arches appear thicker and straighter. Using light strokes with a pencil or an eyebrow pen keeps the brows looking naturally full instead of drawn-on.
For a subtle glow on the cheeks, the makeup artist reveals that layering products is the way to go. "I layered liquid and powder blush on the high points of her cheeks, and then I buffed a bit of highlighter to add some glow," she explains.
Those petal-like gradient lips were also achieved by layering lip products with different textures. Anthea used a matte lipstick as the base, choosing a shade that best matches Pia's natural lip color. Next, she blended a bright pink shade on the inner half of the lips, then she finished the look with a berry-hued lip liner on the center to give the gradient more depth.
Gorgeous!
