Everyone wants to put their best face forward every day. When we look in the mirror in the morning, however, we usually see blemishes we wish we didn't have: freckles, pimples, clogged pores, and worst of all, wrinkles!

Most of these problems are a result of aging and the environment—two things we can't do much about since we can't exactly turn back time or move to an unpolluted, UV-free, completely sanitized environment. Other times, our skin problems are a result of lifestyle choices or an illness.

The more you understand your skin and how it works, the better you can prevent problems in the future. Here is a guide to explain the most common of skin problems, as well as some suggestions on how to treat them and minimize or mask their appearance.
