Aside from a good foundation, an excellent concealer will be your go-to makeup product to create that picture-perfect face. A few dabs of it can mask spots, eliminate dark circles, and refine the rest of your makeup. Don’t know how to use a concealer? Want to make sure it remains undectable on your skin? Here, we decode the proper way of camouflaging the unmentionables. Plus, we show you other genius ways to repurpose your concealer! Scroll down to learn the tricks.
Disguise a Zit
Counteract the redness of a zit by dabbing on a sheer layer of green concealer on top of it. Next, apply a concealer that matches your skintone, and blend away the spot to oblivion.
Hide Dark Circles
Make those nasty bags go under the radar by cancelling out their darkness with a salmon or orange corrector. Smear it on the shadows in a reverse triangle—doing this camouflages the bags naturally and lifts the face. Follow it up with a thin film of pigmented concealer, blur with damp sponge, pat on tissue to absorb excess product, and set with finely-milled translucent powder.
Refine Eyebrows
Refine and lift your eyebrows by outlining the concealer on the tail using an angled brush. Blur the edges with a cotton swab or a sponge.
Clean up the Wing
Erase winged liner booboos with ease by sharpening the flick with an angled brush dipped in concealer.
Perfect your Pout
Prevent your lipstick from bleeding and perfect your lip shape by rimming your mouth with a pointy brush and some concealer. Diffuse the edges by gently patting a wedge sponge over it.
