In fact, its downside is that it can be so long-wearing that having it on for too long can dry out your lips. To give your lips more color, opt for a nude-colored gloss. But if it's a jelly-like finish you want, a clear gloss will do the trick. That said, if you're not a huge fan of gloss, a generous layer of lip balm can give you a similar effect!
