article_tweetie-stay-fresh.jpgSeeing Tweetie de Leon-Gonzalez up close is a humbling experience. She really is as beautiful as magazines and advertisements make her out to be: all tanned, toned, and long-limbed. It's really hard to believe that the model-turned-entrepreneur is in her 40s and a mother of four!

Since Tweetie is one of our ultimate pegs for aging gracefully, we thought we'd ask her for her top tips for staying fresh during the summer months. Keep reading to find out her secrets:

1. TAKE REGULAR SHOWERS
"I'm big on showers. After a big workout or a big game of squash, as soon as I get home, first thing I do is
shower. I find myself saying, 'This is the best feeling the world!' I really just love water. Whether to drink, to shower [in], to swim in."

2. KEEP HYDRATED
"I'm not big on fruit juices. They're just too sweet for my taste. I do take vegetable juices. It used to be punishment for me, until I learned to bear it and appreciate it."

3. PAMPER YOURSELF
"I love massages. I do a few trips to the salon. Whenever I [go to the salon], which is few and far in between, I make it a one-shot deal. Everything na today, then you won't see me again for another six months."

4. DRESS FOR THE WEATHER
"I'm big on shorts. Whether dressy or dressed down, I just love being in shorts. I'm also big on bikinis. I'm
very practical; I'm a mom. But when it comes to bikinis, I splurge. Siguro in one summer, I don't mind buying five new sets. My daughter will say, 'Again?! Did you buy for me?' 'I have one for you.' (laughs) But I really have fun with that. It just so happens that every year, there's something nice, something new. I indulge myself."
