Summer is officially here, and for us girls, this only means one thing--it’s bikini season again! There’s a lot of pressure on us ladies to flaunt our best figures in our swimsuits, and even big celebrities like Anne Curtis aren’t spared from this. As fabulous as her figure may already be, Anne still admits to being extra careful of her diet this summer, saying that she amped up her already-healthy fitness routine in anticipation of the summer months.

“It’s good that you start earlier. Me, I go on a cleansing diet first, then a proper diet and working out, just to have a boost start. So I think it’s very important, especially with summer coming around the corner, it’s time for bikinis, so dapat in shape tayo (so we should be in shape),” she had shared during the launch of Century Tuna’s “No Other Tuna” campaign, where she told us a lot about her eating habits. Take a few pages from Anne’s book and enjoy a fab new bod this summer!

1. Have a healthy daily diet.
“Breakfast would consist of a tuna omelette, maybe one egg sometimes, sometimes two, with tuna. For lunch, I’ll just have a salad, and for dinner, a salad. But I’ll snack in between… I’ll have a morning snack and an afternoon snack, but maybe just nuts and fruits. And I save everything for Saturday and Sunday. I don’t do cheat days, I do cheat weekends.”

2. Find a diet that works for you.
“If I need to go on a diet and I know I have to lose may be five pounds, or maybe eight to ten pounds…I’ll go on a south beach diet, which is absolutely no carbs. It consists of… tuna’s included in that, and a healthy amount of eggs, salad, chicken, fish. So that works for me. It doesn’t work for all people, but it works for me.”

3. Know how to ward off your cravings.
“I drink lots of water. But if I really can’t take it anymore, I’ll give in and pig out a little bit. But you know, to control it, it’s very very easy naman once your appetite isn’t as big and when you’re used to having certain amount of food, like a certain quantity. You get used to it. But when I’m really stressed, wala, you have to give in because you’ll go crazy. Although I’m already crazy, but I get crazier when I really can’t take it anymore.”

4. Look for healthier substitutes.
“Quinoa is a different option, another option that you can use, which I learned from my boyfriend, Erwan, who doesn’t really eat rice, so he uses quinoa, which you just boil and it tastes exactly the same… Save nalang 'yung mga white rice for weekends (Save the white rice for weekends).”

5. Don’t deprive yourself.
“I believe that yes, you should be strict when it comes to dieting, but don’t deprive yourself of the joys of chocolate and chips and potatoes. Saturday, Sunday is the day to pig out.”
