When Sarah Geronimo was asked about the most memorable lesson she learned in 2012, it wasn’t surprising that her answer was related to her love life—after all, her almost-romance with Gerald Anderson made showbiz headlines last year.

Kasi nga, mahina tayong mga babae (That’s it, how you can guard your heart. Because we girls are weak!)!” she was quoted by PEP.ph as saying.

Sarah also indirectly revealed that breaking off her budding romance with Gerald Anderson was more painful than her earlier breakup with Rayver Cruz.

Totoo pala 'yun (You know, maybe what Judy Ann Santos said was true, that the pain level increases with every heartache. I found out that’s true),” she said.

However, the in-demand performer also said that she doesn’t want to dwell on her lack of a significant other, saying that she would rather let love find her in its own time. In fact, she’s still hoping that her future boyfriend will be the man who will eventually be her husband.

We all hope that the person we love will remain with us forever. But yes, I’m really being idealistic. But, if it’s the Lord’s will to give that man to me, if my next boyfriend will be the one whom I’m destined to be with, then I’m lucky.).”
