Sarah Geronimo’s star is still shining bright in the international music scene. Shortly after being nominated for the Favorite Asian Act category of the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards, the pop princess is now nominated for three categories in the World Music Awards.
According to their official website, the World Music Awards, which began in 1989, aims to recognize “the best-selling recording artists from every continent.” The nominees are determined based on the sales of their records, and, unlike other award programs, the winners are determined by the number of votes they get.
For this year’s awards, Sarah is nominated in three categories: World’s Best Female Artist, World’s Best Live Act, and World’s Best Entertainer of the Year. She will be going up against several big stars such as Madonna, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, and Justin Bieber in all three categories.
The other categories are Best Song, Best Album, Best Video, Best Male Artist, Best Group, and Best Electronic Dance Music Artist.
