After keeping mum for two weeks, Neri Naig finally gave a statement to the media about her sex video scandal with her boyfriend, Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda.

In a text message her handler, Beth delos Reyes, sent to, the actress said that she’s very grateful to everyone who supported her during the difficult time.

"As soon as I found out that our video went viral, I sent a message to my family agad and for two weeks, nagkulong lang ako sa room ko (I just locked myself in my room) and just wanted to disappear. I didn't want to see or talk or hear from anyone," read the message.

"A few days ago, I finally decided to start reading the messages from my family, friends, acquaintances and even from random people who didn't know me personally. Grabeng pagmamahal yung pinaramdam nila sa akin (They made me feel so loved.)."

She likewise thanked the Kathleen Dy of Universal Records, DMV Management, and the National Bureau of Investigation, which is currently helping the couple look for the person responsible for spreading their video online.

"Kung pwede lang po talagang yakapin lahat ng tao na umalalay, nagpakita ng pagmamahal at support sa amin ni Chito (If I could only hug everyone who helped me and Chito, and who made us feel their love and support),” she wrote. "Maraming maraming salamat po (Thank you very much.). I am not yet ok, but I am getting there," she concluded.
