K-dramas are addictive—the refreshing plots, the attractive stars, and the kilig-inducing scenes are undeniably hard to resist. On top of that, Korean drama series don't typically last for years, and each season only has less than 20 episodes, which makes them so easy to binge-watch in a week, or even days! So while you're currently "quarantined" at home, why not keep yourself calm and busy by binge-watching a new show?

Here, we list down some of the most popular K-drama series in the past few years to get your marathon started! P.S. They're all currently available on Netflix.

1. Crash Landing on You (2019)

You've probably heard many good things about this hit series, and now's the perfect time to finally give it a go. This K-drama is about an heiress and a successful businesswoman from South Korea, Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin), who accidentally crash lands into North Korea after a terrible paragliding accident. Here, she crosses paths with Jeong-hyeok (Hyun Bin), a high-ranking military officer in North Korea.

The show aired last December 2019. According to Soompi, Crash Landing On You is a huge hit among women in their 40s!

2. Goblin (2016)

This fantasy-romance hit series is not your ordinary K-drama. Goblin or Guardian: The Lonely Great God tells the story of a 939-year-old goblin Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) who falls in love with a cheerful 19-year-old Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun)—the person who is destined to end his cursed immortal life.

3. Descendants of the Sun (2016)

Descendants of the Sun (DOTS) is another wildly popular K-drama worth binge-watching. DOTS follows the story of a soldier Yoo Si Jin (Song Joong Ki) who falls for a cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Kang Mo Yeon (Song Hye Kyo) in a war-torn Mediterranean country called Uruk.

In case you missed it, there's an ongoing Philippine adaption of DOTS starring Jennifer Mercado and Dingdong Dantes on GMA-7!

4. What's Wrong with Secretary Kim (2018)

This 16-part rom-com centers on a cold-hearted, narcissistic Lee Young-joon (Park Seo-joon), the vice-chairman of Yu Myung Group. The thrilling romance begins when his ever-reliable secretary Kim Mi-so (Park Min-young) decides to quit after working for him for nine years.

5. My Love from the Star (2014)

An alien Do Min Joon (Kim Soo Hyun) who landed on earth 400 years ago is about to return to his own planet—but not until he meets and falls in love with sassy actress Cheon Song Yi (Jun Ji Hyun.)

6. Legend of the Blue Sea (2016)

If you missed Lee Min-ho from Boys Over Flowers and The Heirs, add this charming fantasy drama to your watchlist! In the series, an immortal mermaid Shim Cheong (Jun Ji Hyun) crosses paths with a clever con artist Joon Jae (Lee Min Ho) in modern-day Seoul.

7. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo (2016)

If you're looking for an uplifting, feel-good watch while you're quarantined, this rom-com is for you. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo will remind you of your firsts—from first crushes to the first time you fell in love with your passion. It's a coming-of-age story that centers on aspiring weightlifter Kim Bok Joo (Lee Sung Kyung) and a competitive swimmer Jung Joon-Hyung (Nam Joo-Hyuk.)

8. Touch Your Heart (2019)

Goblin's second lead couple Yoo In Na and Lee Dong Wook will once again touch your heart in this adorable rom-com. This time, Yoo In Na plays the role Oh Yun Seo, a famous actress whose career went downhill after getting caught in a scandal. In order to land a comeback role as a lawyer's secretary, she must gain experience at a real law firm to learn the ropes. Here, she meets (and works for) cold and rigid top-notch lawyer Kwon Jung-rok (Lee Dong Wook.) It's a light and fun series that will be easy to binge-watch!
