Actress-TV host KC Concepcion, who was officially introduced as the brand ambassador on July 21 at the Plana Forma Studio, shares her own experiences with the program. "I'm 16 pounds lighter now in the last three months," she said, reiterating that Forma isn't just a workout. "It's a diet and an exercise. Forma gives you a full workout, and you don't need to go to the gym and wear your sneakers or go outdoors."
Plana Forma co-founder Julie Alagde created the Forma technique based on the key principles of Physique 57, a cardiovascular workout, which uses isometric exercises and orthopedic stretches. The resulting workout is a rigorous, fast-paced regimen combining yoga, pilates, and dance. Its goal is to give you a lean, strong, and flexible physique by firming up your thighs and seat, toning your arms, and strengthening your abs. There'll be moans and aches, says Julie, but the recovery pace is quick, and you'll really see results.
For KC, the best part is that every class is different. "You won't get bored--that's the number one thing for me!" She also mentions how, in Forma, each movement is crucial and it's the "small movements that matter."
As for the workout's effects, KC herself felt the changes in her body when she started. "You really see it in the ab section, you feel it. Your arms. You tone up really quick. And then your butt area. I think that's why my butt is so round," she says, laughing. "It's true. You'll see a lot of results in the same areas for most of our students, people who come in, our thigh warriors."
"A lot of these people [who] have done Forma, even just for three or four weeks, can really tell you their bodies have changed," she adds. "And you'll see it in the mirror pag nagbibihis kayo, may mga cuts na kayo ng konti. Yung arms niyo may cuts na rin. And you'll feel a little bit of aching and burning, but they say up an inch, down an inch, and that's it. You burn and you're done."
You can try the workout for yourself at the Plana Forma Studio located at the 6th Floor Jecoprime Building, 20th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig (behind Essensa). Each session costs P650. New clients can avail of their first class for the same price and get another session for free. For more details and package prices, call them at 553-0870.
