Despite saying that Sam Milby may have the best chance among her suitors in an earlier interview with PEP.ph, Jessy Mendiola recently clarified that the actor-singer is not yet her boyfriend, reports ABS-CBNNews.com.

“Hindi kami. Kasi kung kami naman sasabihin ko. Pero hindi talaga (We’re not together. I would admit it if it were true. But we're really not together),” she was quoted as saying.

The Kapamilya star added that although she wants to be open about her love life, she is not yet prepared to have another relationship.

“Pero kung may finish line man, i-urong muna natin kung nakarating man siya kasi 'di pa ako ready, 'di pa ako handa (But if there’s a finish line, let’s adjust it back if he has, indeed, reached it because I’m not yet ready, I’m not yet prepared),” she said. “Ako, personally, sasabihin ko sa inyo pero sa ngayon, 'di pa ako handa (Personally, I’m telling you that I’m not yet ready for it now.).”

One thing that Jessy seems more than ready for is a successful career. Aside from headlining the Mexican telenovela revival Maria Mercedes, she is reportedly going to shoot a movie with John Lloyd Cruz.

“I feel really pressured and nervous because it's John Lloyd. He is a very good actor. I'm a big fan. I feel really lucky na napili ako (I feel really lucky that I was chosen),” she said.
