Jasmine Curtis Smith hopes that the controversial “slapping incident” that involved her older sister Anne Curtis will soon “die down.” Anne has been reported to have slapped and hurled insults at several personalities--including fellow Kapamilya ctor John Lloyd Cruz--in Privé Luxury Club on November 23, Saturday.

In an interview with PEP.ph, the actress shared that she immediately rushed to her sister's side when she heard about what happened.

“I’m always there to support her. Of course, I was there. I was comforting her at home. I stayed at home with her. I made sure I’m at home with her. Ayun, [those] are very small actions, but things that she will definitely appreciate. I know she did, kasi she’s very happy. She’s a very happy person. She’s very happy now,” Jasmine was quoted as saying.

She also said that Anne is in Abu Dhabi for her Annebisyosa concert tour, adding that her sister is doing well.

“So obviously, you know, she’s still going to work, she’s showing up, and making sure she gives her best. Nothing has changed in terms of how she works and how she fights whatever happened and how it has affected her. You know, she’s a very professional person. So, whatever happens in her personal life, she makes sure that it doesn’t let it affect her work life,” she said.

Jasmine, however, refused to comment on the issue further.

“I think it’s not my right to speak on the issue because hindi ako 'yung involved. I was not there also... Everyone else has done their part on the issue... I guess, you know, let’s hope it dies down and people will still see the many acts of kindness that she has actually done.”
