A mother’s love for her child knows no bounds, so when we heard that actress Jackie Forster cut off her hair to show support for three-year-old daughter Caleigh, who was diagnosed with leukemia in January 2014, we weren’t exactly surprised.

PEP.ph reports that Jackie first cut her hair when her daughter’s locks started falling as a side effect of chemotherapy. Yesterday, she had her hair cut even shorter--as seen on her Instagram account--and even allowed Caleigh to cut her own locks.

According to half-sister Mickey Ferriols, Jackie had never been comfortable with having short hair, but that she was able to make that small sacrifice for the sake of her daughter. PEP.ph also reports that Jackie has never blamed God for her only daughter’s affliction, and that it only served to strengthen her faith even more.

Jackie, Caleigh, and the rest of the family are currently in Singapore for Caleigh’s treatment. The actress also has two sons with actor Benjie Paras.
