Jennifer Lopez called it quits with longtime boyfriend Casper Smart because he cheated after promising he would never do it again, according to a new report.
The singer/actress ended her relationship with the dancer for good in August, after almost five years together, because he had cheated twice while they were dating, according to People.com, and Lopez decided enough was enough.
The couple split for the first time in June, 2014, but reconciled last year, and then parted ways again, because J.Lo was reportedly “done” after the latest affair.
According to a People.com source, Smart has been trying to get his ex-girlfriend back after realizing the seriousness of his actions.
“He was kicked to the curb not because he did not attend a party with J. Lo, but because he was caught having parties of his own,” said the source. “No one has time for that, especially J.Lo.”
Casper, who was J.Lo’s backup dancer when they started dating quietly in 2011, went public with the romance a year later.
He’s not the first dancer Jennifer has fallen for – she wed Cris Judd in September, 2001, but the marriage didn’t last and the couple was divorced the following summer. Judd is now happily married with a three-year-old daughter.
Talking about her attraction to dancers in 2014, Lopez said, “I’ve dated two dancers. One, I had a brief marriage with, Cris Judd, who is an amazing person and whom I love, and then Beau (Casper Smart), we just broke up, who I love as well. He’s a good friend.”
