1Lifestyle guru and Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow recently posted her own take on our adobo dish in her website, Goop. She whipped up chicken adobo and paired it with savory waffles, resulting in a considerably Americanized Pinoy adobo or the Pinoy version of the favorite Southern American dish, fried chicken and waffles.

The fried chicken was poached in the traditional adobo broth, which had a special kick because Gwyneth added red pepper flakes in it. The dipping sauce was an interesting fusion of maple syrup and reduced adobo sauce.

This is not the first time the actress has featured Filipino food in her website. Previously, she mentioned that chef Keith Rhodes, owner of seafood restaurant Catch, used Datu Puti Toyomansi when he sauteed vegetables, Asian Style.
