We were all pretty confused when Miss Universe 2019 host Steve Harvey announced that PH bet Gazini Ganados won the National Costume competition only to see standing beside him was Miss Malaysia Shweta Sekhon. Because of the mix-up, Steve announced that the winner was Shweta, but as it turns out, Gazini is the real winner.

In a tweet by the Miss Universe Organization, they clarified that Gazini did win the special award: "Steve Harvey had it right: Miss Universe Philippines Gazini Ganados is the winner of the Miss Universe 2019 National Costume competition! Congratulations, Gazini."

All throughout the competition, Gazini represented the country well and was a stunner in the preliminaries!

During the grand coronation night, Gazini made it to the competition's Top 20 but sadly failed to make it to the Top 10. Miss South Africa Zozibini Tunzi was crowned Miss Universe 2019.
