TV personality Divine Lee loves working out. At the launch of running shoe brand Saucony’s first store in the Philippines, she tells FN exactly how she stays in top shape. “I work out three times a week, and in between, I try to do something active like trapeze or I go run,” she says. “But usually it's more on trapeze because it enhances your core.”
Her workout routine is not something to sneeze at, but despite being a fitness buff, Divine understands why some women aren’t motivated to put on their training shoes. In fact, she confesses that she also feels lazy when she has to go to the gym and offers alternatives for women who might feel the same way.
“Do activities instead,” she says. “For me, my attention span's so short so parang yung five minutes ko sa treadmill, feeling ko, ang tagal niya lang, right? But when you're doing something fun especially when you're with your whole barkada, time seems to fly by so fast. You don't know that you're burning so [many] calories at the same time.”
The fitness buff, who is a fan of the Saucony Originals line, also admits that fashion plays an integral role when it comes to working out, especially since she's the type of girl who wants to be able to take her kicks from the gym to the street—a factor that Saucony might have taken into consideration.
“They have a lot of collabs,” she says, referring to the award-winning shoe brand. “They're even in Colette in Paris, so I like how they were able to adapt [and turn] the really really old running shoe into something so fashionable now that you can wear with pants, shorts, skirt, long skirt, so I like how it's so flexible.”
