Undoubtedly, former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres is one of the most memorable winners of the pageant ever, especially for us Filipinos. She stayed here in the Philippines for five years after, and during that time, she received several movie roles, had frequent TV appearances, and was offered endorsement gigs – that’s why it’s no surprise that her comeback this year as a Miss Universe judge made us incredibly nostalgic.

And with her return to TV, does this mean that we’ll be seeing her on the big screen, too? In an interview with Karen Davila, it was revealed that there are rumors of a movie with Piolo Pascual – and the 42-year old beauty was clearly excited. “I would love to do a movie,” she said. Although she hasn’t met him, she’s looking forward to possibly working with him.

Other names that popped up were Gary Valenciano, who was her co-star in Hataw Na, and ex-boyfriend Aga Muhlach, her leading man in the film Basta’t Kasama Kita. “You know, I’ve said it before, it’s such a classic. And all the people on Instagram write that and are like, ‘do a second Basta’t Kasama Kita’, and that would be great.”

The American-Puerto Rican beauty mesmerized us all when she was crowned Miss Universe in 1993. The year after, the prestigious pageant was held here in the Philippines so she flew here to pass on the crown to Sushmita Sen of India.
