Claudine Barretto has expressed her willingness to undergo a drug test following her estranged husband Raymart Santiago’s claims that she's using illegal substances.
“Of course, yes. Yes. Any time, any place. You just tell us and we will be there. She is drug-free,” the actress’s legal counsel, Atty. Junelet Mataro, was quoted as saying in an article on PEP.ph.
“The issue here is not whether or not Claudine is a drug addict. The issue here is whether or not Raymart has abused Claudine,” Atty. Mataro continued, referring to the actress’s case against Raymart for allegedly violating R.A. 9262 or the Violence Against Women and their Children Act.
Atty. Mataro also seemed unperturbed about the photos supposedly showing evidence of the physical violence that Claudine had inflicted upon Raymart.
“If Raymart is being abused by Claudine, e, di mag-file siya ng kaso, kung ano man maisip niyang kaso (then he should go file a case, whatever case he could think of),” she said. “If his claim is that he is being abused by Claudine, go ahead, file a case against Claudine.”
