Billy Crawford and Nikki Gil can definitely be considered as one of the strongest couples in showbiz. Unlike some of their contemporaries, this twosome keep a relatively low profile when it comes to their love life, never immersing in controversy.

During the PMPC Star Awards for Television held on November 18, Billy told PEP.ph that he and Nikki will soon be celebrating a memorable milestone in their relationship. “Magpa-five years na kami (We’re celebrating our fifth year together soon),” he was quoted as saying. When asked how they managed to stick together through the years, he revealed a few secrets of their relationship.

Siguro just by being honest and by being real with each other,” he said. “Hindi kami nagsasawa sa isa’t isa (We don’t get tired of each other’s company.). And you have to really grow with the person you’re with.”

Ang isa pang sikreto sa amin is we put God at the center of our relationship,” he added. “We are definitely happy. Of course, lahat naman ng relationship may pinagdadaanan, pero you can always overcome it (Another secret is that we put God in the center of our relationship. We are definitely happy. Of course, all relationships have their own problems, but you can always overcome it.).”

However, Billy also said that they’re not rushing to the altar anytime soon. “Hindi pa naman. Matagal-tagal pa ‘yon (Not yet. That's not in our immediate plans),” he said, adding that “only God can really tell” when he and Nikki will tie the knot.
