There may have been no grand birthday bash for Bea Alonzo this year, but the 34-year-old did have her own star-studded event on her YouTube channel. Her team surprised her with a special episode of #AskBea, and we say special because it featured many of her celebrity friends and idols—Judy Ann Santos, Angelica Panganiban, and Angel Locsin included!
That said, out of all the interesting questions in the vlog, there was one that caught our attention. It was from Richard Gomez, who asked the actress: "Since we're not getting any younger, when do you think will you get married?"
The question obviously took Bea by surprise, but being the witty woman she is, she offered the politician an honest and empowering response.
Going straight to the point, Bea answered, "Not anytime soon. I still have a lot of work to do, ang dami ko pang gustong gawin sa buhay ko."
"And tama ka, I'm not getting any younger, I'm actually 34 years old, but I believe that I have my own timeline. I refuse to get pressured by the society or people around me to get married, kasi frankly I'm not there yet, I'm not ready yet."
Some fans might wonder what her boyfriend Dominic Roque would think of her plans, but Bea ensured they're on the same page. She explained, "I'm just very happy that Dom knows that and that we have an understanding. Take it one day at a time."
"Right now I'm very, very happy, and I know that when the time comes—in God's perfect time—I will be happier, even happier to have my own family."
