We could all use a reminder that we are loved and deserving of the best things in life, regardless of our relationship status. Actress Angelica Panganiban, who recently celebrated her birthday last November 4, took to Instagram to share just how committed she is to *self-love* by gifting herself a promise ring.

The 35-year-old star began her inspiring IG message by posting a #NoFilter snapshot of herself, showcasing her freckled, natural beauty sans makeup. She captioned her post, "Gifting yourself is a way of self-love. Matagal akong nag isip ng perfect gift for myself para sa birthday ko. Gusto ko ng simple, pang-matagalan, pero hindi naman masyadong masakit sa bulsa. So, I gave myself a promise ring."

She continued, explaining that the ring symbolizes her vow to embrace and love who she is: "[It’s] a promise to always look after myself. To keep doing better, to understand and to love more. To be more patient with myself. And to listen to my body, my mind and my heart. Masaya naman ako sa desisyon ko."

Earlier this year, Angelica surprised her Instagram followers by posting a photo with her non-showbiz boyfriend Gregg Homan. The actress has been previously involved in controversial relationships with fellow celebrities, so a *low-key* romance is somehow new to her. She shares, "Tapang lang talaga, at paniniwala sa sarili na parang kaya mo yan. May mga napagdaanan ka, masasaktan ka ulit, ganun talaga. So might as well gawin mo lang din."
