Angelica Panganiban has dismissed the rumors that her boyfriend, actor John Lloyd Cruz, is seeing another girl, believing she has no reason to doubt her beau.

“Actually nabasa ko lang 'yun sa Instagram ko. May isang basher lang talaga na galit na galit sa akin. So, parang lahat 'ata ng intriga ginagawa niya,” she was quoted as saying on PEP.ph. “Sobra akong confident sa relationship namin. Hindi ko kailangan magpaliwanag sa mga tao (Actually, I just read about that on my Instagram account. There was a basher who was so mad at me. It was like she was creating all sorts of intrigues about me. I'm very confident about our relationship. I don't have to explain anything to people.).”

She also sees no reason to confront John Lloyd about it. “Hindi ito namin dapat pag-usapan, hindi ko siya dapat tanungin, dahil baka pag tinanong ko pa, baka ako mismo matawa. Parang hindi rin naman bagay sa kanya 'yung ganun. Wala naman sa… hindi ko siya kilalang ganun (We don't have to talk about this, I don't have to ask him, because if I do, I might just laugh at myself. The rumors also don't seem to fit him. I know he's not that kind of guy.).”

Later on, she bemoaned the endless intrigues that seemed to plague her relationship.

“Nakakalungkot lang, e, na pag masaya talaga 'yung dalawang tao, hahanapan mo na lang ng gulo,” she lamented. “It’s either ikakasal kayo o pahiwalay na kayo. Dalawa lang naman 'yung tatanungin, e. So pag dinenay [deny] mong ikakasal kayo, ibig sabihin, susunod na tanong sa iyo, nagkakalabuan kayo (It's saddening that when two people are happy, you'd look for something wrong in their relationship. It's either a couple is getting married or splitting up. People just ask those two things. So if you deny that you're getting married, it means that the next question that will be asked about you is if you're having a misunderstanding.).”
