The teaser trailer for Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil's new film, Alone/Together, has gotten everyone nostalgic about their college days—and young love. The teaser even reached a total of one million views in less than three hours from its release!
Here's the story: According to writer and director Antoinette Jadaone, Tin is an over-achiever who graduates magna cum laude from the BA Art Studies program of UP Diliman, while Raf studies BS Biology at the University of Sto. Tomas and doesn't really have a goal—he just wants to graduate and get out of school. The couple meet again eight years later and we're expecting that A LOT has changed.
You probably noticed that bench (located at the UP Academic Oval) where Raf and Tin sit while eating isaw and Tin talks about "changing the world."
It's on the same bench where they eventually sit together again and Tin says "Alam mo, hindi ko talaga alam kung ano'ng nangyari" WHILE CRYING.
People have a lot of feels about the teaser, but we noticed that people have their own heatbreaking stories about that bench! "'Tong bench na 'to talaga, e. Hindi ata tayo ready para rito, mga kapwa Iskolar ng Bayan. CHAROT HAHAHAHUHU."
People are even saying that this particular bench is cursed!
I mean, of course people have other memories about those benches. It's where UP and non-UP students alike have hung out, had breakdowns, rested after a jog. But those benches were witnesses to a lot of breakups!
Alone/Together will hit cinemas on February 13!.
