Comedy Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas proved she was more than just her title at the 25th Philippine Movie Press Club Awards for Television, PEP.ph reports, after winning, not just the Best Comedy Actress Award, but the Best Single Performance by an Actress Award as well. Despite being in showbiz for over 25 years, however, she revealed that she has one more acting dream she wants to turn into a reality: making it in Hollywood.
"Hindi pa ako nakakapunta sa Hollywood (I haven't gone to Hollywood yet)," she is quoted as saying on PEP.ph. "Gusto ko, kahit man lang bago ako mamatay, isa man lang project sa Hollywood. (Before I die, I hope I can get into at least one project in Hollywood.)"
"May masabi man lang ako sa mga taga-Hollywood na, 'I'm the Philippines' gift to your country.' Di ba? (I just want to be able to tell the people in Hollywood, I'm the Philippines's gift to your country.' Right?)," she is also quoted as saying.
But while her Hollywood dreams have not yet been realized, her local career continues to flourish. She will be starring with actor-TV host Vic Sotto in Enteng ng Ina Mo, M-Zet and Star Cinema's 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival offering.
