ABS-CBN Ball 2019 is a celebration of our Filipino heritage, giving the spotlight to the stars all glammed up in their "Modern Filipiniana" attires. That said, we couldn't help but feel especially giddy upon seeing our favorite couples gracing the event in their barongs and ternos. Below, we spotted 10 of the cutest pairs on this year's red carpet:
1. James Reid and Nadine Lustre
Nadine was a glittering stunner in her red Michael Leyva terno, which was complemented by James' pristine suit—we like how his outfit was even accented by a shiny sash inspired by the Philippine flag.
2. Kim Chiu and Xian Lim
Kim and Xian looked so in love while walking hand in hand; Kim clad in her Benj Leguiab serpentine gown, and Xian in his Francis Libiran suit.
3. Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla
Kathryn and Daniel looked ever so regal on the red carpet. Kath's vibrant Michael Cinco dress was inspired by traditional weave patterns done in Swarovski crystals, which was perfectly complemented by Daniel's Jorel Espina suit made with actual indigenous woven fabrics.
4. Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber
The #MayWard fans were probably squealing in delight as the two sashayed down the red carpet in Furne One creations that were inspired by baroque churches in old Manila.
5. Kim Jones and Jericho Rosales
Looking adorable in their complementing outfits, Kim and Jericho really pushed the boundaries for their modern interpretation of the Filipiniana attire.
6. Maja Salvador and Rambo Nuñez
Maja wore a pristine white Puey Quinones gown while Rambo sported a sharp, well-fitted barong by Randy Ortiz.
7. Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil
LizQuen made an appearance on the red carpet dressed in contrasting ivory and ebony looks. Liza wore a highly-embellished Patricia Santos dress while Enrique opted for a sharp Randy Ortiz barong.
8. Francine Diaz and Kyle Echarri
The two young actors graced their first ABS-CBN Ball—Francine in a charming pink two-piece ensemble; and Kyle in a black barong-inspired suit.
9. Andrea Brillantes and Seth Fedelin
Andrea and Seth walked down the red carpet wearing fun outfits that lent some whimsy into the Filipiniana dress code.
10. Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin
Needless to say, our hearts fluttered when we saw this '90s love team strut down the red carpet!
