It was love at first sight for Yang and Ardy. They met at work and got to know each other well--after three months, they decided to be an official couple.
Yang and Ardy have been together for seven years when Ardy decided to propose. To surprise Yang, Ardy thought of proposing to her on his birthday. The couple went to Antonio's Tagaytay to celebrate and have a special dinner. Without Yang’s knowledge, the special dinner was actually not just Ardy’s birthday celebration. "After eating, he invited me to go to the far side of the garden where it was only the two of us. Then to my surprise, he went down on one knee and he got a small box from his pocket, and popped the question," shares Yang.
It was one of Yang's most life-changing moments, wherein she knew she would be spending forever with Ardy.
Yang and Ardy wanted to keep their wedding classy yet laid-back. They chose vibrant colors to set a fun and light mood at their celebration.
To further reveal their personalities, the couple took on DIY projects for the wedding. "During the church ceremony we provided our guests with popsicle fans," shares the bride. The popsicle fans had details of the reception, so that the guests would know in advance about the happenings after the ceremony. The couple's reception space was also dressed up with a floral doorway, a signpost, a menu board and mailbox so that the reception would exude that homey feel.
Among the highlights of the reception was when Yang and Ardydanced to Coldplay's Fix You, in which the lyrics of the song reflected the couple's new roles as husband and wife. The couple also entertained their guests with surprise raffles and fun games that made their day even more special.
Yang and Ardy's special day served as a reminder of their unconditional love for one another. The bride shares, "Planning a wedding is exhausting. It consumes money, time, and lots of effort. Unless you have a thing for it or are tight in budget, get a full-time coordinator." But for Yang, seeing the excellent results of her special day, made everything worth it.
