Pooch and Jambe first met in Batangas through the introduction of a common friend. Pooch shares, "Jambe was still working abroad when we first met. I made a bet with him that I'll see him there soon as my aunts are already processing my papers abroad. True enough, one year later, we accidentally bumped into each other at a shopping mall in Doha. We exchanged numbers, talked, and visited places together. My family easily warmed up to him, which is one of the things that made me love him more."
It was during one of their vacations when Jambe proposed to Pooch. According to Pooch, Jambe had been acting weird on the first day of their trip and was very conscious of his pouch, that whenever he loses sight of it, he worries and panics. Pooch narrates, "Finally, while having lunch at the river cruise, he got down on one knee and proposed to me in front of the other tourists. That's when I realized why he kept his pouch close to him the whole time."
Pooch and Jambe's special day was laced with personalized details and handcrafted decor. They wanted to have a unique affair that's truly them and they were able to achieve such by incorporating DIY pieces and some their favorite things in their celebration.
One of the couple's biggest projects was their invitations. According to the bride, they wanted to give their guests a sneak peak of their big day so they created invitations in the shape of rubber flip flops to channel a fun and playful summer vibe.
Although the bride felt that they didn't have enough time to plan their wedding, their celebration sailed smoothly and did not have any major glitch to hamper them. Pooch adds, "My advice to those who are planning to get married is to plan ahead of time. Time really matters especially when choosing the suppliers, and BridalBook.ph helped us find and book suppliers. More importantly, no matter how busy you are in your career, you must find time for your wedding. Personalize details if you can, so you can make your day even more memorable."
