Steven's proposal was, according to Ness, one of the most beautiful things that had happened to her. Steven surprised her with a flash mob proposal at Starbucks after a long day of gownmaking and altering gowns.
Ness shares, "He told me to pick him up at the Starbucks branch in his office because he has a client meeting there. When I got there, I ordered a drink and then, to my surprise, loud music blasted through the coffee shop's speakers. Young boys and girls started singing and dancing, and it was not until my friend told me, 'I think it's for you,' that I realized what was about to happen."
She saw Steven walking towards her, with a ring in one hand, asking her to be his wife. And although she was out of words and still weak in the knees, she managed to give him her sweet "Yes."
For their wedding, Ness and Steven opted for details in white and green ombre for their big day. For their reception, the tables were dressed in crisp, white linens and adorned with country-inspired decor in different shades of green.
Ness, owner and designer of Ness & Co Bridal Boutique, designed her and their entourage's attires for the special day. She created the gown of her dreams, and the varied outfits of her friends and family as well.
According to the bride, part of planning a wedding is managing her, her husband's, and her guests' expectations. So right after the proposal, the two planned out their big day down to the smallest detail. From the dresses, suits, decor, and souvenirs, Ness and Steven prepared for a memorable gathering by handpicking all the elements of their wedding. Ness shares, "You're only getting married once, so talk to your partner and ask for his opinions as well. Planning is a fun activity, but it has its ups and downs, so be prepared."
