Tet and Joven met at a get-together party hosted by Joven's cousin. Tet shares, "Joven was supposed to be set up with another girl on that night. I, on the other hand, just stopped by shortly at the party, and as if by fate, we were introduced instead." After two months of courtship, Tet and Joven became a couple.
Eight years later, Joven decided to propose to Tet in a funny yet romantic manner. Tet narrates, "My friends asked me to go with them to a hotel to pick up something. When we got inside the elevator, they blindfolded me so I started screaming, 'What's happening?' They helped me walk in my 4-inch stilettos. I stopped at a spot, and then a melody from a guitar started playing and a beautiful voice started to sing Marry Me by Train. I didn't know how to react, so I took the blindfold off. I saw the room was dim-lit, and in front of me, I saw a well-dressed man wearing the mask of a celebrity. I knew it right away that it was Joven."
The comical twist of events eventually led to Joven asking for Tet's hand in marriage. And although overwhelmed with emotions, Tet was able to give him her sweet yes.
