Tessa and Dan's big day celebrated more than just their wedding--it was also their first anniversary as a couple.

A common friend had introduced Tessa and Dan to each other, and while they didn't become close instantly, they clicked after one phone conversation. Their friendship quickly blossomed into romance, and a few months later, Dan proposed. The story of their relationship isn't the kind one usually hears, and their wedding wasn't traditional either.

The couple added several twists to their modern oriental-themed wedding. Both Tessa and Dan are members of a choir, so instead of having a first dance, they sang a medley of I Will Take You Forever and Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now during their grand entrance. They also had a Starbucks Coffee booth at the reception, since the groom loves Starbucks Coffee. And when the time came for the traditional toast, the couple drank Red Bull instead of wine.

While Tessa and Dan's celebration was different, it had one traditional wedding element--it was a preview of the couple's love and joy for the years to come.
