Ruth and Jerald have known each other since they were in kindergarten. And ever since they were kids, Jerald always had his eye on Ruth. However, it wasn't until they reached senior year in high school that they officially became a couple.
Because Ruth and Jerald have known each other for so long, their relationship saw 11 strong years before they decided to get married. During Earth Hour in March 2011, Jerald popped the question to Ruth while they were in a pajama party with their high school batchmates. Jerald prepared a placard that held glow-in-the-dark letters, which spelled out "Will you marry me?"
Having known each other since they were little, Ruth and Jerald decided to have their wedding revolve around the concept idea of being kids at heart. With a youthful theme in mind, the couple laced their event with playful and cheery details, which also included a lot of DIY details. To give their affair an air of modern elegance, the couple chose a bold yet chic yellow and black color motif.
Ruth and Jerald's effort to personalize their wedding truly paid off, as all their guests had a great time celebrating their big day with them. Fun performances and games marked the couple's reception, which truly brought out the kid in each and every guest.
