Nieva and Francis were set up by their common friends. Francis was given Nieva's number on the eve of Valentine's Day, and he started sending messages to Nieva. After a month of exchanging messages and calls, the two finally met on a trip with college friends to Fontana Leisure Park in Clark, Pampanga. Nieva and Francis hit it off, and eventually became a couple.
After five years of being together, the couple decided to tie the knot. They had already talked about getting married, so there was no need for a formal proposal. Still, Francis presented Nieva with an engagement ring one day, and the two started planning for their wedding.
Nieva and Francis had over a year to plan their wedding. That gave them enough time to choose the suppliers they wanted to work with for their classic affair.
The couple picked pink and green as their wedding motif. They also incorporated lots of crystals into various wedding elements. Among the notable details of Nieva and Francis' wedding were the kissing bells, which were embellished with crystals. The two ordered the bells from abroad, and asked their families to help them jazz up the 350 bells for their guests.
While the couple was able to pull off their dream wedding filled with special details, the bride admits that they forgot one thing: prepare a thank-you speech. Nieva shares, "Never forget that the speech is important! After all the bookings and preparations have been made, take time to prepare your speech because you would not want to forget to thank those important persons who have gone out of their way to make your special day a very memorable one."
