Michelle had no idea what kind of surprise Matthew had in store when he brought her out one winter morning and asked her to wear a blindfold. He brought her to the top of Mt. Washington Ski Hill in Wisconsin, where he had written "Michelle, will you marry me?" on the snow. It was 27 degrees below zero, but when Michelle took off the blindfold and saw Matthew kneeling before her, the freezing temperature didn't matter anymore.
The couple's wedding was quite the opposite of Matthew's Wisconsin winter proposal-they had a sunset-themed wedding in the Philippines just as summer was about to begin. Everyone enjoyed the warm weather, and Michelle and Matthew's wedding details were carefully coordinated to compliment their summer event. Their bridesmaids wore orange, yellow, and burgundy dresses. Meanwhile, the groom donned the traditional Filipino barong, and even hung out with his groomsmen in a nipa hut before the wedding.
While Michelle and Matthew's engagement and wedding were polar opposites, the couple showed that their love is one for all seasons.
