Micar and Glen used to be classmates back in high school. During that time, Glen had made several attempts to woo Micar, but all his efforts were in vain--or so he thought.
The two reconnected again several years after through Facebook. "Glen was working in Singapore then, and Micah was a flight attendant for a Middle Eastern airline. He invited her to Singapore, and she said yes. Her best friend came with her on the trip as she was very nervous to meet up with Glen. They went on several dates in Singapore, and officially became a couple at Clarke Quay," shares a friend of the two.
After two months of dating, Glen proposed to Micar in Singapore. Micar relays, "It was around 11 p.m. that night, and we were waiting for his friends at Orchard Road. As soon as they came, they asked us to have our pictures taken with them. During that time, Glen and I were standing in front of them, and I, on the other hand, remained unknowing of their plan. When I turned to looked at them, they were holding umbrellas [that formed the question], 'Will you marry me?,'."
Micar and Glen said their 'I do's' at a chapel in beautiful Batangas. The occasion was laced with school-related inspirations especially prepared for the themed gathering. In addition, turquoise, pink, yellow, and silver, gave a playful flair to the celebration.
The reception décor--such as notebook pages, pencils, books, and black boards--allowed the couple to highlight the theme of the gathering. The gathering had a cheery and fun mood, and the details reflected the motif and contributed to the lively air of the festivity.
Micar shares, "Based on my experience, it is very important to have a clear vision of what you want to achieve on your big day. Research thoroughly. More importantly, offer your wedding to God. We glorified Him on our big day, and we are forever grateful to him for letting our paths cross again."
