Mayrah and Michael's wedding celebrated their love and commemorated their Filipino roots. Though both were already based in Australia, the bride and groom decided to come home to the Philippines to tie the knot.

To further show their patriotism, Mayrah and Michael also incorporated some very Filipino elements into their wedding. The groom and his groomsmen, who had all flown in from Australia, were all dressed in barongs. The entertainment during the reception included performances by the champion of the Dinagyang tribe and folk dancers, who did the Tinikling and the Manlalatik. The couple's Aussie friends happily joined in on the Pinoy festivities.

It was a fun and memorable occasion, especially because the celebration of Mayrah and Michael's love transcended distance and culture--they showed everyone that home is truly where the heart is.
