Marie and Nino were neighbors, and their mothers have been good friends for a long time. Despite the things they had in common, they were never introduced.
As chance would have it, Marie and Nino set out to pursue careers in Singapore. Their trips were 10 days apart, and so when Marie left her phone in the Philippines, her mom asked Nino to bring the phone to her. Nino did as he was told, and the gesture marked the start of their friendship. Marie and Nino started hanging out, and after eight months, they became a couple.
After almost two years of being with Marie, Nino decided to pop the question as they were riding the Singapore Flyer. The couple then celebrated their engagement by having dinner afterwards.

Wedding Preparations
Marie and Nino's wedding, which featured charming paper details, was inspired by lamps that the couple had bought from IKEA Singapore. The lamps, which featured paper dandelions, gave the couple the idea to focus on paper décor.
The couple's celebration was a refreshing sight, as Marie and Nino did away with most floral details. Instead of having a bundle of flowers for her bouquet, the bride held a large rose fashioned out of fabric. The team from Vatel Manila also crafted hundreds of Kusudama flowers from cream and white paper. The handmade blooms decorated the reception venue.
With the help of their suppliers, the couple pulled off a wedding that perfectly mirrored their personalities. The bride shares a simple tip for other couples. "Try to thank your suppliers before they leave," she says.
