Kay and Oyie have lived in the US for a long time, but throughout their stay abroad, their Filipino heritage remained with them. To pay homage to their roots, the couple celebrated their wedding in the Philippines, and opted for a Filipiniana theme.

The charming and rustic Villa Escudero, with its characteristically Filipiniana setting, was the perfect venue for their wedding. In keeping with the theme, the couple wore traditional Filipino attire with a bit of a modern twist. Kay wore an exquisite piƱa cocoon gown with a tiered skirt, while Oyie donned a sleek traditional barong. Instead of riding a modern bridal car, Kay and Oyie hopped in a kalesa--and they were even given a fiesta procession for their entrance to the reception!

With such a heartfelt celebration of love for their country and each other, Kay and Oyie showed that as long as they remember their roots and stay together, they'll always be home no matter where they are in the world.
